The Sliding Doors Moment

I have been in my business for more than half of my life. Before joining my company, I had many sliding doors moments where I could've stopped and turned around, and if I did? I’d have ended up being a school teacher for all this time. 

Back just a few days after my 20th birthday, shortly after a recruitment pitch I thought I successfully avoided signing up for, I received a phone call that changed the course of my life. The man from the recruitment pitch who had promised to phone me back was in fact, on the landline at the exact time he said he would be. For me, that was my sliding doors moment.
